Equality and diversity
“And even though I was fat and hopeless at games, which are very unacceptable things for a schoolgirl, I was happy and confident. That was quite simply because I had a mother and father at home who thought I was wonderful. They thought all their geese were swans.
It was a gift greater than beauty or riches. The feeling that you were as fine as anyone else”
- Maeve Binchy
It is important to be explicit that my therapy room is a non-judgmental space where your sexuality, gender identification, disability, religious, racial and cultural heritage and neuro-diversity will be treated with respect and met with curiosity and delight. You can take it as a given that I continue to grow and learn about my own intersectionality as a neurodiverse white woman from a privileged background.
